Roberto Henríquez farms fewer than 10 hectares of ungrafted, 80-250-year-old bush vines on granitic and sandy soils along the Biobío River in Chile's Bío Bío and Itata valleys, using native-yeast fermentation, carbonic maceration, and aging in old Rauli wood, all bottled by hand without filtration. "A La Mar" is his Cinsault-Merlot-País field blend (roughly 45/40/15), made in the traditional Chilean style — hand destemming, gentle crushing, punch-downs, and short macerations.
