Parable Wines. Following the gentle curve of the Silverado Trail, the Trailside Vineyard captures the essence of Rutherford's most storied benchlands. This vineyard sits on the ideal volcanic soils that define the region, producing fruit with the classic structure and elegance that have earned global acclaim. Our Trailside wines are drawn from this specific terroir to reflect the landscape's natural grace—each sip offering a sense of place that is both refined and enduring, a testament to the iconic pedigree of the Napa Valley floor. Appellation: Rutherford, Napa Valley. Vineyard: Trailside Vineyard. Varietal: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvest Date: September 7, 2022. Alcohol: 14.5%. Fermentation: Destemmed and crushed; three pumpovers daily; primary and malolactic fermentation finished in three weeks. Aging: 23 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Harvested by hand in the early morning hours, the fruit was delivered to the winery in pristine condition for processing.
Tasting Notes
The nose is deep and complex, opening with aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and dried violet, underscored by a characteristic dusting of savory minerality. The palate is powerful yet refined, displaying a dense core of black fruit layered with hints of espresso, tobacco, and polished leather.
