Âmevive, Grenache Blanc 'Ballard Canyon' 2024

Amevive is Alice Anderson's Santa Barbara County project, built on organic and biodynamic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking with native yeasts and little added sulphur. This Grenache Blanc comes from Rancho Boa Vista, a certified organic vineyard and olive orchard on west-facing slopes at the southern end of the Ballard Canyon AVA; the vineyard was abandoned after 2024, making this the final vintage from that source. Anderson fermented it in two parts, selecting several barrels to ferment with higher solids as an 'unsettled juice' component alongside settled juice in neutral French oak with native yeast, then aged it on lees and bottled unfined and unfiltered in September 2025. 13.7% ABV, 201 cases.
