Profile & Story
Arnaud Baillot is based in Beaune, in the heart of the Cote d'Or. He took his master's degree in winemaking in 2013 and works with his wife Laure, whose family owns Domaine Hudelot-Noellat in Chambolle-Musigny; the couple acquired their own vines in the Cote de Beaune in 2017. 'La Montagne' was among the first parcels Arnaud bought - a lieu-dit in the Maranges sector, planted in the 1960s on rocky soils. Berry Bros. & Rudd note the 2023 was made with a significant proportion of whole bunches.
Tasting Notes
Berry Bros. & Rudd on the 2023: the nose is pure and fresh, with red and dark fruit aromas; the palate has plenty of wet-stone freshness and creamy strawberry, with good depth.
