Azienda Agricola Piero Busso is a family estate at Neive, in the Barbaresco zone of Piedmont. Piero's grandfather Guido bought a small parcel of land in Albesani in 1948 and planted the family's first vineyard by hand; after training and working as a vet, Piero returned home and bottled his first wine in 1980. 'Majano' is a selection of hand-harvested barbera from vineyards not far from Neive, fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tank, then aged in large oak botti for 10 months followed by about six months in bottle.
