When his father retired in 2016 Pierre Boisson took over the Domaine Boisson-Vadot in Meursault and began bottling under his own name, quickly establishing himself as one of the rising stars of white Burgundy. 'Le Chemin de Pierre' comes from a plot he found outside Pommard, high in the Hautes-Cotes de Beaune, that had never previously been planted to vines; he saw the potential of its pure limestone soils. The wine is chardonnay, organically farmed, fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral oak with minimal intervention. (Sources: Parcelle Wine; Flatiron Wines & Spirits.)
