Olivier and Corinne Merlin, La Roche-Vineuse (Mâconnais), since 1987; no herbicides or synthetic fertilizers. The Bourgogne Chardonnay blends Mâconnais parcels (La Roche-Vineuse, Prissé, Chaintré) on clay-limestone; direct press, roughly 60% stainless steel / 40% oak, full malolactic, ~9 months' ageing.
Tasting Notes
Very aromatic on the nose with notes of exotic fruit; the palate is fruity and supple with white peach. A refreshing cuvée, best within 2–3 years. (producer)
