Profile & Story
Emilio is the debut project of winemaker Mattia Montanari, named for the Via Emilia that threads through Emilia-Romagna, with each wine named for a famous opera aria in tribute to the region's operatic heritage and Modena native Luciano Pavarotti. 'Nessun Dorma' comes from vines planted 10-15 years ago at roughly 250 meters elevation in the Lambrusco Grasparossa di Modena zone and is certified organic.
Tasting Notes
A dry, deep-colored sparkling red with black cherry and plum fruit alongside softly turned earth, tobacco and nutmeg; fresh acidity and a fine, persistent mousse.
