Gotha Spiriti Nobili is a small Bologna-based producer founded by bartender Ergin Allko with his brother Donald and friends Umberto Menna and Riccardo Francesco de Campagnoli. The Drai 'Siderale' vermouth uses dry Zibibbo from Pantelleria as its wine base, enriched with purified Adriatic seawater and botanicals including wormwood, caper berries, cucumber, lemon peel, Timut pepper, sage, bay leaf and grapefruit peel; the components are blended and rested 45 days before bottling. The name combines an archaic Italian word for 'dry' with 'Siderale' (of the stars).
Tasting Notes
Expresses herbal complexity with prominent citrus notes and a mineral depth from the seawater component.
