Silvio Carta is a Sardinian spirits producer based in Zeddiani. Elio Carta created this red vermouth as 'a jewel of pure Sardinian passion', drawing on Mediterranean botanical traditions.
Tasting Notes
Intense ebony colour. The nose offers Mediterranean scrub - rosemary, laurel, pine needles, resins and pine nuts - over a light marine note. The palate is intense, soft and round, well balanced, moving between herbs and ripe fruit toward a decisive, clean finish with a long mineral trail.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs with Parmigiano Reggiano aged 60 months; also used in cocktails (e.g. a 'Bubble Vermouth Rosso' with pink grapefruit juice and Prosecco).
