Phifer Pavitt Spirits grew out of the same Date Night tradition, which was as often marked over bourbon as over wine. The winery's first foray as a collaborative partner with Bardstown Bourbon Co. left its mark in the whiskey world; with more experience and more refined palates, the Pavitts went on to build Phifer Pavitt Spirits - a limited production of two finishes on two classic bourbon whiskeys, hand selected and finished in the winery's own Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. RESERVE is a 10 year Tennessee straight bourbon whiskey finished for 24 months in Phifer Pavitt RESERVE Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, bottled at cask strength in 750ml. Mashbill: 84% corn, 8% rye, 8% malted barley.
Tasting Notes
The Cabernet French oak finish yields rich dark fruit, dark chocolate, and toasted oak. Velvety toffee and espresso deepen into a warm, lingering finish - rare, refined, and fiercely unforgettable.
