In the Zuccardi family the passion for wine began more than fifty years ago, when Julia Zuccardi's grandfather planted his first vineyard in Mendoza; the family has made wines that express the region while respecting the environment ever since. Over the past twenty years Santa Julia has been a protagonist in the transformation of Argentine wine, and its Reserva range expresses the potential of the Uco Valley. This Reserva is 100% Malbec from the Uco Valley, fermented with selected yeast with 20 days of maceration and aged ten months in French oak; 14% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Dark violet with blue hues. The nose shows typical Malbec aromas of ripe red and black fruits such as cherries, plums and blackberries, with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Medium-bodied, with very soft tannins, balanced acidity and a fruity, spicy finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs well with grilled red meats, beef and empanadas.
