Wiemer Vineyard was established in 1979 as a Finger Lakes viticulture pioneer and farms its Seneca Lake estate using biodynamic and sustainable practices; under winemaker Fred Merwarth it is regarded as one of the United States' benchmark Riesling producers. The Dry Riesling is the estate's flagship dry expression from Seneca Lake.
