Domaine de la Patience, established in 1930 and run by Christophe Aguilar near Bezouce (between Nimes and Avignon), takes its name from a wild Mediterranean herb found in its vineyards. Certified organic since 2007, the estate has grown from 15 to about 100 hectares across the Costieres de Nimes and Coteaux du Pont du Gard. The red is a blend of Carignan, Syrah and Grenache, spontaneously fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and lightly filtered.
