Nibiru is the Kamptal project of Julia Nather and Josef Schenter, who returned to Austria's northernmost Kamptal (Schoenberg am Kamp) in 2015 and farm certified-organic and biodynamic (Demeter); the wines are hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented with minimal sulfur, and matured in old oak. 'Oida!' - Austrian slang for 'hey!' - is a playful, easy-drinking red (Zweigelt) and a nod to the region's traditional field-blend tradition.
