Profile & Story

Cirelli farms an organic, biodynamically-inspired estate near Atri, in Abruzzo, just a few miles from the Adriatic coast, where founder Francesco Cirelli raises olives, orchard fruit and livestock alongside his vineyards, guided by the philosophy that nature sets the rules. This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is destemmed and macerated in steel for about a week, then pressed gently to avoid harsh tannin extraction; fermentation runs spontaneously on native yeasts, and the wine ages roughly six months in stainless steel before bottling unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulfur added.

Tasting Notes

Deep purple in the glass with violet reflections. The nose shows wild mint, oregano and dark red cherry over a base of dark fruit, while the palate delivers tart cherry and blackberry with bright acidity and a chewy, textured grip. It finishes fresh and crunchy.
