Profile & Story
Altos Ibericos is the Familia Torres project in Rioja, established in 2005 in Labastida, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa -- the coolest of Rioja's subregions. The name comes from Alto Otero, the site where the winery stands. Fruit is sourced predominantly from Rioja Alavesa, from vines averaging 60-80 years old, some of the oldest in the region.
Tasting Notes
A 100% Tempranillo Crianza aged 12 months in French and American oak (about 7% new), showing naturally higher-toned acidity without blending, elevated aromatics, and full-bodied fruit over smooth, juicy tannins.
