Profile & Story

Castello Romitorio has been dedicated to Brunello di Montalcino since 1984, a partnership rooted in artist Sandro Chia's bond with cellar master Franco Martini, a connection now carried forward by their sons Filippo Chia and Stefano Martini at the estate in Montalcino, Tuscany. Brio is their entry-level Toscana IGT, 100% Sangiovese made from the estate's youngest vines and aged in large oak casks for a fresher, ready-to-drink style.

Tasting Notes

A dense ruby color with fragrant floral aromas, red berries and cherries touched by aromatic herbs; the palate is juicy and fresh, with lively acidity and classic Sangiovese notes of plum and cherry.
