Profile & Story
Cantine Scavone traces its cellars back to 1864 in Petrosino, in the province of Trapani, western Sicily; the estate was renovated and relaunched in 2011 by brothers Fabio and Piero Scavone. Their Gazzarella Grillo comes from the native Grillo grape, alongside Catarratto, Perricone and Inzolia in the winery's broader range.
Tasting Notes
A full-bodied, aromatic Grillo with citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit on the nose, and a fresh, crisp palate typical of the variety in western Sicily.
