About the Wine
The Cabernet Pfeffer grown on Enz Vineyard is the only Cabernet Pfeffer we’ve ever seen growing in California. The origins of this incredibly rare grape are misty, and with so little of it grown in the world, we take our respon- sibility as stewards of its continued legacy seriously. With no real blueprint to work from, making this wine took meticulous attention to detail in winemaking. We constantly monitored the fermentation to ensure everything was progressing well, but committed to minimal intervention, we allowed the wine to express itself freely. The wine exhibits a vibrant scarlet color, paving the way for peppercorn and strawberry aromas, with juicy fruits and spiciness on the palate. Our Cabernet Pfeffer is a truly unique wine.
