Le Piane, founded by Christoph Künzli in the Colline Novaresi (Alto Piemonte), farms old vines biodynamically on volcanic porphyry. 85% Nebbiolo with 15% Vespolina, the local variety that adds floral lift and fresh acidity.

Forward and silky, with strawberry and rhubarb, alpine-herb bitterness and just enough tannin on the finish.
