Profile & Story

Verget, the négociant founded in 1990 by Jean-Marie Guffens, sources top grapes rather than owning vines. “Terres de Pierres” blends four Mâcon parcels — Viré (clay) plus Bussières, Pierreclos and Vergisson (limestone/clay); each pressed and vinified separately, then aged ~4 months in stainless steel without racking. 100% Chardonnay; ~10,000 bottles.

Tasting Notes

Floral and exotic; melon, honeysuckle and butterscotch aromatics; medium-bodied and fine-boned with firm mineral and lime notes and a chalky, mouthwatering finish.
