Cantine Miali has grown grapes in northern Salento since 1886; Ichore, from their Selezioni Speciali line, is 100% Negroamaro, hand-harvested in the third week of September, destemmed and crushed gently, fermented 12 days in stainless steel, then matured further in steel with micro-oxygenation in 10-year-old French oak tonneaux before six months in bottle. 13-13.5% ABV, total acidity 6 g/L.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with spicy notes of black pepper and juniper; full and round on the palate, with a firm structure balanced by silky tannins and a velvety finish.
