Ettore Germano is based in Serralunga d'Alba, Piedmont, with roots in the area since 1856 under Sergio Germano. Rosanna, named for Sergio's wife, is a rare sparkling rose made entirely from Nebbiolo, 70% from Alta Langa and 30% from the Barolo zone, blended with reserve wines, with 80% fermented in stainless steel and 20% in large untoasted oak. The wine spends about 18 months on the lees in the classic method, topped up with sparkling wine rather than a traditional liqueur d'expedition.
