Marco De Bartoli produces this Marsala Superiore Riserva Oro from 100% Grillo grown in Contrada Samperi outside Marsala, fortified in the traditional way with mistella (fresh grape must arrested with grape brandy) rather than neutral spirit, then aged over ten years in oak vats of varying sizes, a Riserva of some fifteen years by release. Bottled at 18% ABV in 500ml, semi-dry style.

A memorable, complex bouquet built up over long oak aging, with the depth typical of a 15-year Riserva Marsala.
Pairing Recommendation
A pleasant semi-dry Marsala that goes brilliantly with desserts at the end of a meal, and pairs well with blue cheeses served with spicy mustard or jam.
