Quinta do Portal farms 100 hectares across five estates in the Cima Corgo. This white Port is made from Malvasia Fina, Gouveio and Rabigato, hand-picked in September; after fermentation and maceration in stainless steel, the wine ages in seasoned casks for an average of ten years before bottling. Producer analysis: 20% alcohol, 119 g/L residual sugar, total acidity 3.74 g/L, pH 3.45.
Tasting Notes
Impresses by the harmony between the complexity of an old wine, with dry fruits and spices, and its freshness, marked by yellow fruits and floral notes. Shiny golden colour, very good acidity balancing its spicy and honeyed character, long and fresh finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Served slightly chilled at 12C with creme brulee, cheeses, or simply as an after-dinner Port.
