Profile & Story
Terredora di Paolo has led Campania's wine renaissance since 1978 and today farms more than 120 hectares, making it the region's largest vineyard owner. Fatica Contadina is 100% Aglianico from the estate's Lapio and Montemiletto vineyards, hand-harvested and selected, macerated 10-12 days at 28C, then aged at least 24 months in French and Slavonian oak followed by 24-36 months in bottle before release.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby with garnet reflections; a complex bouquet of black cherry, violet, spice, tobacco, tar and mineral notes. Full-bodied, elegant, smooth and velvety on the palate, with balanced tannins and excellent aging potential.
Pairing Recommendation
Roast meats, fillet and rib-eye steaks, grilled lamb chops, game, spicy dishes, mushrooms, truffles and aged cheeses such as Provolone, Parmigiano Reggiano or Gorgonzola.
