Bodega Argento, based in Mendoza, is Argentina's largest certified-organic wine producer. Artesano de Argento ("artisan") pays homage to Argentina's traditional silver and leather handcraft. This White Malbec is made from 100% organic, Fairtrade Malbec grown in the Alto Agrelo vineyard, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza -- harvested early for higher acidity, pressed immediately with no skin contact, and fermented in stainless steel to preserve its pale color, an unconventional white expression of a classically red grape.
