El Coto de Rioja was founded in 1970 in Oyon and is one of the largest vineyard owners in DOCa Rioja, farming roughly 730 hectares. Coto de Imaz is the winery's prestige Reserva/Gran Reserva range, built with a careful selection of Tempranillo for complexity, balance, and longevity. This Reserva ferments in stainless steel with up to 18 days of maceration, ages 18 months in American oak barrels, and rests a further minimum of 18 months in bottle before release.
