Bodega Ruca Malen was founded in 1998 in Agrelo, Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza, by Jean-Pierre Thibaud and Jacques-Louis de Montalembert, both with family ties to storied French winemaking houses. The name comes from a Mapuche legend meaning "house of the young girl." Ruca Malen built its reputation on elegant, terroir-driven Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina's premier wine region.
