Profile & Story
Villa Sparina is an estate in Monterotondo, in the heart of the Gavi DOCG, founded in the early 1970s by Mario and Bruna Moccagatta and today run by their children Stefano, Tiziana and Massimo. Of the estate's 100 hectares, 70 are dedicated to native varieties for Gavi and Barbera, with winemaking overseen by enologist Beppe Caviola.
Tasting Notes
100% Cortese; pale straw yellow with citrus and mineral notes reminiscent of a fine Chablis-style white.
