Profile & Story

Nicholas Altare's family has grown Dolcetto in Dogliani, Piedmont, for five generations; he founded his own winery in 2015 farming two hectares in the San Luigi hamlet. This Dogliani DOCG is 100% Dolcetto, made with spontaneous fermentation, no temperature control and no clarification.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in color with aromas of dark cherry, plum and earthy spice; medium-bodied with fine, gentle tannins, flavors of red and black fruit, herbs and mineral notes, finishing dry and structured.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with roasted lamb, beef stew, peppercorn-crusted pork, mushroom tart, and aged Pecorino.
