Profile & Story

The Ruffino family has farmed the Punta Crena vineyards on Liguria's coast for over 500 years, working almost exclusively with local varieties. Vigneto Reine comes from 81-year-old Mataossu vines on silty soil within 1,200 meters of the sea -- one of the last plantings of this near-extinct indigenous grape.

Tasting Notes

Green apple, citrus zest and white peach with wildflower and Mediterranean herb notes; a distinctive saline quality and lively acidity lead to a clean, crisp finish.
