Profile & Story

Zeni has farmed the Grumo hilltop project overlooking the Adige and Noce rivers since 1882, four generations of the same family. Lealbere ferments on the skins for ten days and rests six months in steel; Rezdora is pouring a rare, fully mature 2004 bottling of a wine normally released young.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red with bright acidity and delicate tannins; intense ripe red and blue fruit, light spice, chocolate and coffee notes -- proof, per Rezdora, that Teroldego ages as gracefully as any other grape.

Pairing Recommendation

Red meats, hearty stews, aged cheeses.
