About the Wine
Romane Machotte White 2024 is a Gigondas blanc crafted from a blend of Clairette (70%), Marsanne and Roussanne (25%), and Viognier (5%). The grapes come from two distinct terroirs: one at the foot of the slopes around the village on Miocene sandy soils, which promote early ripening; and the other at 300 meters altitude on north-west facing Cretaceous limestone marl, which contributes freshness and aromatic complexity. The grapes are hand-harvested. Clairette is aged in multi-wine barrels and amphorae to preserve the fine tannins from the sandy soils and refine structure from the limestone terroir. Marsanne, Roussanne, and Viognier are aged in stainless steel tanks to retain fruit purity and freshness.

Tasting Notes
The wine displays remarkable minerality, freshness, and structure. On the nose, it reveals complex and delicate aromas of citrus, white flowers, and luscious apricot. The palate echoes these aromas with finesse and clarity.

Pairing Notes
