Profile & Story

Mélodine originates from a single plot in the Fontimple locality within the Cône de la Font des Papes terroir. The vines were planted in 1994 with a mix of Clairette, Roussanne, Bourboulenc, and Viognier to foster synergy among the varieties. These varieties are planted together, allowing their phenolic maturities to align, and are therefore harvested and vinified together. Vinification and aging are carried out in demi-muid barrels on the lees, without stirring. This method results in an aromatic symphony that reflects the harmony of mixed plantings and is shaped by a feminine sensibility.

Pairing Recommendation

Mélodine is a fine companion for aperitif nibbles, scallops or other seafood – from the subtlest of flavors (sea bass) to the most robust (sardines). It can also round off meals in style, accompanying a platter of cheeses.
