Bord Elegance, AOC Laudun, 2024
White Blend
Famille Brotte

About the Wine
The blend includes Grenache, Clairette, Viognier, and Roussanne. Bord Elegance possesses minerality and a delightfully exotic character. It shows a lovely freshness, a precise and persistent structure, from the excellent Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Laudun AOC that is producing increasingly good quality wines. After a rigorous cold settling (10-12°C), the Grenache grapes are fermented according to their maturity and are vinified to obtain aromatic freshness (very low fermentation temperatures, racking, etc..). Bord Elegance is aged on its fine lees to create roundness and texture and further enhance the lovely aromatic freshness. Bottling takes place in the February following the harvest

Tasting Notes
Nose – Very complex and fragrant. In its early youth, the nose is fresh with green apple and citrus aromas and a touch of hazelnut. After a year of cellar-ageing, the notes of apricot come to the fore on the first nose which then goes on to develop notes of honey, vanilla and sweet almonds along with aromas of lovely ripe mango and a floral touch of jasmine and acacia. Palate – When young, the wine is fresh on entry and continues with a lovely balance of roundness and acidity set off by hints of citrus and fresh summer fruit. After a year of cellar-ageing, the palate becomes even more harmonious and complex with ripe yellow fruit, acacia honey, vanilla and lemon peel flavours.

Pairing Notes
When young, this wine pairs perfectly with an aperitif of petit fours, mini summer salads, shrimp starters, grilled white fish or white meat, or fresh goat’s cheese. With age, it will work perfectly with shellfish such as crab, white meats in a sauce, fatty fish such as salmon or hard cheeses.
