About the Wine

This cuvée is made from a blend of 40-year-old white and pink Ugnis (70%) and Clairettes (30%). The grapes are grown on clay-limestone plains with silty to sandy tendencies and are harvested manually in small 10 kg crates. All plots are grassed, with no mechanical soil work, in a philosophy focused on restoring life to the soil. Vinification is natural, using indigenous yeasts, and involves direct pressing of the whole harvest with minimal intervention. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats and bottled in early September 2024. Production is limited to just 700 bottles. While it meets the “vin méthode nature” standard (less than 30mg/L SO₂ Total) and is certified organic by Ecocert, it is not labeled as such.

Tasting Notes

The wine has a bright, luminous, and limpid straw-yellow color with golden highlights. The nose is intense and rich, marked by notes of white fruit and syrupy pear, mingled with spicy touches of cinnamon and saffron, and a hint of orange peel. The palate is fleshy and full-bodied with good intensity, evolving into lovely freshness and a long, persistent finish marked by a slight salinity.
