Profile & Story
La Colombera is a five-generation family estate in the Colli Tortonesi, run by Elisa Semino alongside her father Piercarlo, best known for their pioneering work with the native Timorasso grape (they were among the first five wineries to revive it in the 1990s) across 20 hectares of clayey sandstone, marl, limestone and tuff soils. Alongside their whites the estate also makes several Barbera bottlings, including this dry, direct-pressed, wild-fermented Barbera Rosato.
Tasting Notes
Barbera Rosato from Piedmont typically shows raspberry and red-currant aromas with a note of crushed flowers, a dry, light- to medium-bodied palate, and zippy, refreshing acidity through the finish.
