Profile & Story

Torre a Cona is a Tuscan wine estate in the Colli Fiorentini. Crociferro is 90% Sangiovese and a small percentage of Colorino, from various estate plots between 300 and 350 metres, Sangiovese picked late September into October and Colorino picked mid-September. Vinification is traditional red winemaking with alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled steel for seven days followed by skin maceration; malolactic is also in steel. The wine is aged eight months, 30% in 50-hectolitre Slavonian oak casks and 70% in steel.

Pairing Recommendation

Suitable for first courses with meat sauces, and perfect with Tuscan cured meats and medium-aged cheeses.
