Profile & Story
Casreli was founded by five physician friends who farm their own vineyards at 450 m on the right bank of the Alazani Valley (Vachnadziani, Kakheti). 'Erekle's' blends native Georgian varieties - Rkatsiteli, Kisi, Kakhuri Mtsvane and Khikhvi (favorites of 18th-century King Erekle) - organically farmed, naturally vinified and aged in qvevri; unfiltered with minimal sulfites.
Tasting Notes
Amber colored; exotic and complex with wild herbs and flowers, black tea and bergamot; fresh, lively acidity with dried fruit and nuts and soft, food-friendly tannin.
Pairing Recommendation
Grilled red or white meats and vegetables, and spicy or aromatic Eastern dishes; versatile from appetizer to cheese course.
