Profile & Story

Claus Preisinger farms biodynamically on the north shore of Lake Neusiedl at Gols (Burgenland) and is a member of the Pannobile group. 'Kalkundkiesel Red' blends Zweigelt, Blaufrankisch and Merlot grown on limestone (kalk) and gravel (kiesel) soils; macerated on the skins and raised in oak, stainless steel and concrete; unfiltered.

Tasting Notes

Medium-bodied and light-footed yet deep - freeze-dried raspberry, plum jam and eucalyptus with a long, iron-tinged finish.
