Profile & Story
Gal Tibor, founded in Eger in 1992, makes this Egri Bikaver ('Bull's Blood of Eger') Superior primarily from Kekfrankos with Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Kadarka, Cabernet Sauvignon and a little Merlot; the varieties are fermented separately, slowly and spontaneously, aged about a year in 500-litre barrels, then blended and bottled unfiltered.
Tasting Notes
Nose of forest fruits - strawberry, blackberry and sloe - with cassis, dried thyme and aniseed; palate slightly spicy with clove, mint and black pepper over blackberry, pomegranate and black-olive notes.
