Profile & Story

Jasz Laci makes tiny-production natural wines on the volcanic hill of Somlo. 'Setting Sun' is a rare co-planted, co-fermented field blend of native Somlo varieties (Juhfark, Furmint, Sarfeher, Goher, Jardovany, Olaszrizling, Zoldszilvani); spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel, about a month on the skins, kept on the lees until bottling; unfiltered, unfined, low sulfur.

Tasting Notes

Ripe guava and mango meet dried roses on the nose; savory citrus, salt, herbs and golden apple on the palate, with a touch of volcanic smoke on the finish.
