Lenkey Pincescet (Mad, Tokaj) makes this sweet Szamorodni from hand-picked shrivelled and botrytized Furmint and Harslevelu harvested in November across six vineyards in Mad and Bodrogkeresztur; spontaneous native-yeast fermentation, 1.5 years in Hungarian oak and 2.5 years in bottle; certified organic. RS ~98 g/L, acidity ~6.9 g/L; 2,109 bottles.
Tasting Notes
Nose of dried apricot, candied melon, celery and spice; palate of apple honey, smoke and tobacco with vivid acidity balancing the sweetness.
