Profile & Story

Marianne Gamet represents a new generation of growers on her family's 8-hectare estate in the Vallee de la Marne, crafting Champagnes from the Rive Droite terroirs of Damery and Fleury-la-Riviere. ‘Rive Droite’ is a Blanc de Noirs blend of 85% Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir grown on clay-limestone, sandy, and marly soils that favor those two varieties. The wine ferments mostly in stainless steel (about 10% in oak), with roughly 30% reserve wine blended in, minimum 20 months on lees, and a 4g/L dosage.

Tasting Notes

A silky, understated Champagne showing dried pear, kirsch, cinnamon, dried flowers, and toasted nuts, with a clean, saline tang on the finish (Vinous, 91 pts).

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with roasted white meats, aged cheeses, or simple raw-bar preparations that welcome its saline, orchard-fruit character.
