Profile & Story
Heleana and Andre-Jean Morin farm 13 hectares in Arbois that have been in the family for eight generations; Andre-Jean began estate-bottling in 2011, and the domaine has been organic since 2020 and biodynamic since 2021. ‘Les Voisines’ draws on 2.35 hectares of Chardonnay across four Arbois parcels (Curoulet, En Flandre, Les Corvees, La Platiere) on gravelly, calcareous, and blue marl soils. The wine is whole-cluster pressed, fermented and aged 18 months sur lie in well-used, topped-up (ouille) barrels of varying sizes, then bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur.
Tasting Notes
A forcefully saline, chiseled Jura Chardonnay with bristling minerality and pure orchard-fruit character, free of the oxidative notes associated with the region's voile-aged styles.
Pairing Recommendation
A natural match for Comte or other aged mountain cheeses, or richer fish in a butter-based sauce.
