Profile & Story
Magali Terrier founded Domaine des Deux Anes in 2000 in Peyriac-de-Mer, in the deep south of the Languedoc overlooking the Mediterranean, after working estates in her native Beaujolais and in the Jura/Macon. The name ("two donkeys") comes from the real donkeys that live among the vines and help prune and naturally fertilize them. ‘Limo d’Anes’ is a rose petillant naturel made from Carignan grown on vines up to 100 years old; it is direct-pressed and fermented in tank with wild yeasts, then bottled to finish its fermentation in bottle, with zero sulfur added throughout.
Tasting Notes
Bright, shimmering red in the glass with a lively natural mousse. Aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, and red currants mingle with rose petal and fresh herbs; the palate is fresh and crunchy, with ripe red berry fruit, citrus zest, and a touch of minerality on the finish.
Pairing Recommendation
A versatile aperitif pour; also good with charcuterie or a raw bar.
