Bodegas Lavia, founded in 2003 in Cehegín, Murcia (DO Bullas), farms dry-farmed Monastrell vines over 100 years old in the foothills of Murcia, trained low in traditional "en vaso" (goblet) form. Part of the MG Wine Group since 2014, the winery is certified organic. Lavia blends 80% Monastrell (40+ year-old vines) with 20% Syrah (16 year-old vines), aged 12 months in a mix of French oak barrels and 500-liter wooden vats.
