Zestos is produced by Compañía de Vinos del Atlántico, founded in 2002 by Alberto Orte and Patrick Mata. The Old Vine Garnacha comes from vines planted between 1950-1970 in San Martín de Valdeiglesias, DO Vinos de Madrid, at roughly 800m elevation on granite and sandy soils. ABV 13.5%.

Tasting Notes

Vivid ruby color with lively red and dark berry aromas and subtle floral notes; supple and seamless on the palate with black raspberry and cherry flavors, mineral undertones, and a white pepper finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with pizza, sandwiches, pulled pork sliders, fajitas, and quesadillas; also complements aged cheeses like Manchego and Parmigiano-Reggiano.
